I've been a nurse practitioner for 20 years and one thing that I have really become aware of more and more is how segmented health care is and how everyone has a specialty. Very little opportunity for our patients for them to put all the pieces together. So in the work that I'm doing with patients right now, we're focusing on cardio metabolic health. We're optimizing hormones and such an important piece of that puzzle is the exercise piece and that's really what inspired me to think, you know, this collaboration is going to be so valuable. Patients will come to me and, you know, I'll see them for a variety of issues, whether it be, you know, back pain, shoulder pain, you know, they had some sort of injury or they're just generally decommissioned and they don't know what to do. And I have the exercise piece and I can teach them all of that. But then I get to this point. It's like, there's more going on here. You need more comprehensive care, hormones and diet and sleep and all of these things work together. So what we came up with is something that we've decided to call longevity foundations and really with the goal of helping our patients and clients put all the pieces together to build that foundation of health. So from my viewpoint, the fact that you are not just a trainer, you're a physical therapist who specializes in the aging body. That gives me so much confidence. One of the biggest kind of goals I have with building this business is to be a hope dealer. I love that. I actually just got chills. Yeah, I want to be a hope dealer too. Let's brand that. So what we're talking about is our longevity foundations. Do you want to go into a little bit more specific detail about what that's going to look like for clients? I'm going to do the comprehensive movement screen. See, again, we want to make sure you're moving well. So if there's any movement inefficiencies, we want to try to clear that up and we'll do that with corrective exercise. We teach the basic lifts. So I look at a squat and a deadlift and push move, pull move, pressing moves, and floor transfers because that's also very, very important in our aging bodies. We want to be able to make sure that we're comfortable getting on and off the floor and that will help decrease our falls risk as we age. So those are kind of the foundational movements. And then once you've got that, we've built some baseline strength by going to programming and how do we put this all together and create a program. So from my end, what that looks like is an initial consultation, which is very comprehensive, full health history. We're going to look at lab work as well. And depending on, as you said, that the patients need, sometimes it's going to be a woman just going through menopause and starting to feel the aches and pains that come with that and begins to understand for the first time, like, oh, I need to take this seriously. Always a comprehensive medical evaluation and then giving you the support and education to put the nutritional pieces in place. So I think we're really hitting all the bases for the patients from the medical standpoint, as well as the physical activity standpoint to kind of complete the circle for our patients. But this is the real work and this is the, I think, the real foundation that's going to help people get to where they want to be. I love hearing you say that and that's one of the things that really kind of drew me to you when you and I first met because it became clear early on that we're both very evidence-based in our approach. We both understand, as you just said, there's no quick fix. There's no shortcut around it. There's no magic pill, unfortunately. But science does tell us a lot about what it does take and we can help you put those pieces in place.

YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION

YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION

Tell us what's been happening. There's no right answer. We're interested in what you're actually experiencing, not a polished summary.

We think in terms of capacity and trajectory, not just symptoms. This question helps us understand what's actually at stake for you.

This is often the most important question. Your answer helps us understand where the gaps have been and whether what we do here addresses them.

1 = Still exploring / 10 = Ready to begin immediately. There's no wrong answer. We ask because the program works best for women who are ready to engage fully, and we want to be honest with you about that from the start.
