I was sitting at around 275lbs. Always tired, sleeping awful, low libido, difficulty putting on muscle, among a host of other things. I went to my GP looking for some solutions, and she flat out just told me I’m too fat. She said if I lost about 50lbs most everything would go away. Honestly, I was shocked at her bluntness but I think it’s what I needed to hear.
She recommended Rachel to me and after seeing her we got to work straight away.

I was already working out regularly, but with her guidance and support we have made some amazing strides. Coupled with coaching with Inga, I dropped down to 185lbs. From there I started to really focus on adding muscle. Over the past year and a half I added significant muscle to my frame, jumping back up to about 220lbs. Most everything that was ailing me has gone away. I sleep better, feel better, look better. Thank you Rachel. Lately the past few months, Rachel has been helping me with a TRT protocol to optimize my hormones and let me tell you, I feel better now than I did 20 years ago. Muscle gain is better, fat is dropping and overall I’m just better across the board. I can go on and on. If you need some help in any of these areas, Rachel is the go to. 10/10. 100% recommended.

During the pandemic, I shot up over 100 pounds. I was unhealthy. I was working seven days a week and I was really unable to choose a healthy lifestyle. The gym was closed, my trainer was unable to continue with his business. One day I saw a picture of me that was posted on Facebook and I looked at the picture and did not recognize the person that I had become. I was nearly  260 pounds. I was prediabetic.  Every joint in my body hurt when I got out of bed.  I just was absolutely at the end of my rope. I kept saying to myself. You’re too young to feel like this.  

 I decided it was time for me to truly take control of my life and my health.  I didn’t want the rest of my life to be miserable and to be uncomfortable and unhealthy.  I didn’t want to be on a ton of medication.  You know I’ve got the best years of my life coming up,  I want to be able to keep up with grandchildren and be able to travel all over the world and walk everywhere and not just sit around and be miserable. 

I am in better shape now than when I was running marathons in my 30s. I am lifting heavy weights and feel so strong! I feel amazing and confident. If I can inspire just one person with my journey, I’m happy to share it.

Through my time with Rachel, I found the structure and accountability I needed in order to achieve results I previously thought were out of my control. Before working with Rachel, I was conceptually aware of calorie deficits and macros, but it all seemed too daunting to even begin with so many different takes on weight loss and diets across the internet. I deeply struggled with my relationship with food and my body image feeling frustrated & discouraged looking in the mirror, in the kitchen & in my head – it was a cycle of self loathing I couldn’t get out of. However, she simplified the entire process and gave me the tools to see and feel real progress, meeting me with zero judgement, an accepting environment and constructive feedback to make viable changes.

Six months ago, approaching my 70th birthday, I was at a low point with my weight, and I needed help.  I found Aspect Wellness.  It was meant to be.

Rachel and I discussed my goal to quickly lose 50+ lbs.  I had lost weight many times with liquid diets, but my results were short lived.  Rachel took me off daily liquid shakes and set up a healthy eating plan enjoying whole foods.  
My coaching sessions with Rachel and Inga were eye opening.  The expertise they shared and the motivation they gave me (and boy did I need it!) was constant.  I now understand how damaging the liquid diets were.  Yes, I lost weight, but it was more muscle than visceral fat.  They have completely changed how I look at weight loss.  I’m no longer focused on the scale number.  I’m focused on body recomposition.  I enjoy fueling my body with protein, carbs and fats.  Liquid diets be gone!  I’m driven and determined to build muscle at my age.  To date, I’ve gained 3 ½ lbs. of muscle!

I FEEL AMAZING.

Dr. Smith is wonderful!I feel amazing! Who knew? Not me. I just want to say how frustrating it was to have never struggled with weight until I hit perimenopause (for me it was my 40s) and then I just started packing on the pounds in all the most unhealthy places. I was so distressed, upset, and frankly hated looking in the mirror. During this time I loved the convenience of being able to reach out and chat to Dr. Smith anytime I needed to.

She encouraged me to eat healthy and to keep stay active. She also answered all of my insane questions. I read a lot about hormone therapy and when I reached post menopause, I got all the symptoms; hot flashes, irritability, tired, and vaginal dryness. I was informed that I could take hormone replacement and decided to give it a go and I couldn’t be more happy. I seriously feel like my normal self which is about age 30 or so!

NO LONGER STRUGGLING

Weight loss has been a struggle for me since I had my son over 27 years ago and once menopause hit, the struggle became more difficult. I have been a patient of Rachel’s for the last two years and initially I was able to lose 60 pounds but I wasn’t following the plan exactly and once I stopped taking the weight loss medication, I put back on 20 pounds.

If I had been following the plans that Rachel had set up for me, I would have been able to keep off the weight. But life gets complicated and I wasn’t working out like I should have been. So when I went back on the plan for the second time with Rachel, I have been able to lose half of the 20 pounds so far. I am working hard this time to follow the plans she has set up for me and working out regularly so that I don’t put the weight back on. I feel so much better and more confident now.

Rachel has been a huge support in this journey. She is easy to talk to and very knowledgeable on the tools needed to succeed. She makes me feel like I can do it and is always available to me when I have a question. I am so happy I found Rachel and her program and would recommend her to anyone who is struggling to lose weight. It is NOT cheating to take weight loss medication. Don’t feel guilty, weight loss is hard! But you can do it and Rachel is there to support you in your journey.
